The Community Information Mapping System (CIMS) was used to support the Low Income Home Weatherization Program, delivered in Ottawa by the EnviroCentre. This important program, funded by Enbridge Gas, helps low-income households reduce their energy consumption and utility bills through improved home insulation and draft sealing.

The program encompasses a wide catchment area and requires four key variables for eligibility.  As such, CIMS drew on several data sources to create a map illustrating the ideal intersections of the necessary variables across all of eastern Ontario. This creates an essential tool to maximize efficient and effective outreach.
