Minority Ethnocultural Seniors

MECS represents a number of ethno-cultural senior grassroots groups in Ottawa. These groups provide a wide range of recreational, social and educational opportunities and activities and are looking for seniors to join them.

Creating Inclusion

Inclusion assures each citizen the opportunity to fully participate in realizing aspirations. Inclusion relies on active civic participation to identify the barriers to access and to ensure that people have a collective sense of belonging to their society.  SPC is deeply committed to inclusion by actively encouraging the coming together of individuals and diverse groups in the community, by creating opportunities for collaboration, partnerships, and the involvement of those most directly affected by issues.
